Our hostels engender international community and camaraderie by bringing people from all over the world together.
OUR PROGRAMMING
We believe that travel makes the world a better place. Promoting global travel and developing culturally sensitive world citizens has been an organizational priority since 1955. Our Twin Cities office focuses on travel services and travel education. Join us for an upcoming Travelers Circle, a monthly meeting about international travel and a good introduction to our community. We offer our programs free of charge. Your charitable gift helps us to continue this community service.
OUR HOSTEL
Our Mississippi Headwaters Hostel consistently ranks in the top 10 hostels in America. With recent updates, the hostel is better than ever. This pristinely restored historic cabin has all the modern amenities and comforts you expect, and a jaw droppingly beautiful location. We are across the street from Lake Itasca, 10 minutes from the Mississippi Headwaters, and in the heart of Itasca State Park. The hostel is great for groups and families. OUR WORK
We have produced the annual Minnesota Ironman® Bicycle Ride since 1967, making it one of the finest organized bike rides in Minnesota, if not the nation. Each summer we shift gears to refocus on travel education programming and on making our hostel in Itasca State Park one of the top hostels in the nation.
