About: The Minnesota Council of HI-USA is based in St. Paul, MN. We promote travel and cultural exchange through hostelling and travel education. We manage the Mississippi Headwaters Hostel in Itasca State Park. We also organize the Minnesota Ironman® Bike Ride.

The Minnesota IronmanR Bike Ride is one of the oldest and largest biking events in Minnesota. 2008 marks the the 42nd annual Ironman, which is always held on the last Sunday in April.

MN Ironman Bike Ride

HI-Minnesota is proud to organize and manage the Ironman Bike Ride. We have our roots in cycling. The Minnesota Council started, as many councils have, primarily as a biking club. The cycling portion of HI-MN has since morphed into its own vibrant entity, the Twin Cities Bicycling Club.

We organize the Ironman Bike Ride with the help of the Twin Cities Bicycle Club and many, many volunteers. HI-MN is a member supported non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting international travel, established in 1934. The Ironman Bike Ride is the largest fundraising event for HI-MN, a 501-(c)3 non-profit charitable organization.
