2010 Tour de pines Bike Tour of itasca

Saturday, August 21, 2010 In Itasca State Park, MN

WELCOME to the tour de pines

We are proud to announce a sister ride to the Minnesota Ironman Bike Ride: The second annual Tour De Pines - a beautiful single day bike tour in Northern Minnesota, in and around Itasca State Park. Please join us on Saturday, August 21st for another gorgeous ride in the north woods.

ROUTES + descriptions

2010 routes are still being finalized, however we will like keep the beautiful 25 and 50 mile routes much the same as in 2009. The routes are gorgeous and the roads are quiet! Both routes start/finish at the Mississippi Headwaters Hostel. Both routes begin by following Wilderness Drive - a gorgeous, winding road through old growth pines around the perimeter of Itasca Park.

The 25 mile route loops back through the park, after following the Wilderness Drive, to the hostel along the paved bike trail. It is a gorgeous ride. Take your time. Bring a camera.

The 50 mile route heads East outside of the park and North into scenic country and then loops back to Itasca via the Great River Road following the Mississippi River. See the route maps here... or download a PDF of the routes here: 25 mile route | 50 mile route.

We are looking at adding a 75 mile route as well. Stay tuned for details!
